Vaughan Bluemax® High Performance Framing Hammer
The Vaughan Bluemax® features the innovative Head Start® magnetic nail holding slot, capable of holding both 16D and 20D nails, to increase reach and permit one handed nail starting. Computer designed for superior balance, Bluemax® hammers are forged from American made, high carbon steel and triple zone heat treated with an extra long, blue stained American hickory handle. Exclusive triple wedge design locks head to handle for maximum strength. Also available are fiberglass and solid steel handles. The Solid Steel Blue Max® includes Shock-Blok®, a vibration-absorbing insert in the head. The fiberglass model features a high impact overstrike guard along with an exclusive vibration absorbing hollow core design. All BlueMax® hammers feature an over-sized striking face for greater accuracy and come either with a milled or smooth face.
Curved American hickory and fiberglass handles are available within the Vaughan Bluemax® framing hammer line. The curved handle design provides better balance and driving power while reducing user arm fatigue.
