Shingling Hatchet

The Vaughan Shingling Hatchet is forged from American made, high carbon steel and has a full polished head with a milled, crowned face for clean nail setting. Its thin blade splits shakes cleanly with a 2 1/2" cut. The inner blade has a draw knife for shaving shakes. It has three-hole gauges to space the length of shingle exposed to weather, which is designed for both U.S. and metric measurements. The 13" handle is made from high density American hickory. Also available is a Solid Steel version, which includes a replaceable knife.

Rig Builder's Hatchet

Our Rig Builder Hatchet is an all-purpose, heavy-duty hatchet, excellent for rough framing, concrete forms, fence building and many other projects. Forged from American made, high carbon steel, the Rig Builder's Hatchet contains a full-polished head with specially tempered 3 1/2" blade, 28 oz. head and an extra-large, milled striking face with deep throat. The 17 1/2" inch handle is high density, American hickory. Also available is a fiberglass version, featuring a high impact overstrike guard along with an exclusive vibration absorbing hollow core design.

Drywall Hatchet

Our Drywall Hatchet is forged from American made, high carbon steel with a full polished head. The exclusive milled, striking face is ground flat on top of the blade to allow nail strikes close to corners. The specially hardened and tempered blade has 2 1/8" cut. The high density, American hickory handle is available in 13 1/4" and 15 1/4" handle lengths. Also available is a Solid Steel version.
